On 28th October 2026, Matt Jones and Rob Bachan of Noremo UK prepped to lead the AI Due Diligence session at UK Private Capital’s Due Diligence Learning & Development day.

AI is the hottest topic in tech, finance and geopolitics today and every professional investor is or should be actively engaging in discussion about AI’s impact on their investment portfolio.

Noremo has our own trademarked Noremo Technology Framework that enables our expert consultants to conduct comprehensive AI (& Tech) Assessments consistently in compressed timelines. We identify AI (& Tech) Risks so that our investor clients can negotiate a better price and improve the Ts&Cs on their upcoming deals. And we do this across a much broader scope of coverage than was ever previously possible.

Our session focuses on how investors should assess AI as either strategic threat or strategic opportunity to their current portfolio companies or potential acquisition targets and its impact on valuations. Besides assessing the potential value of a company’s current AI roadmap (use cases, initiatives, deployment stage) and technical aspects of its AI architecture, LLM model choice (frontier lab v. open weight), token costs, and so on; due strategic consideration is also given to the dynamics of competition in a rapidly evolving marketplace and the impact on valuations of companies for sale today and the prospects for those looking to exit in 3 to 5 years time.

We prepped two key examples grounded in real operational experience.

Tech platform company where AI is core to the tech platform and business offering
+ EdTech B2B SaaS supporting teachers and students in schools and universities
Business services company where AI brings operational efficiencies to processes and workflows
+ Telco network delivering mobile connectivity and services globally

For our investor audience, we also identify things to watch out for, questions to ask and Tech guidance for the first 100 days after a deal closes.

Unfortunately, due to the training day clashing with the recently re-scheduled UK Autumn Budget Day, a critical day for investors and all the more so this year with the Chancellor John Healey announcing taxation levels and spending plans for the new Andy Burnham government, UK Private Capital took the difficult decision to cancel the course. They now plan to re-schedule it in early 2027.

You can download the course agenda and register your interest with UK Private Capital for when the course gets re-scheduled here: https://www.ukprivatecapital.co.uk/training/listing/course/due-diligence.html

If AI Due Diligence is such a hot topic for you that you can’t afford to wait, then we would be delighted to give you a whistle-stop tour of our point of view and share some example reports. For this, please get in touch to arrange a meeting.
